Whats the easiest way to travel from Boston to NY besides car?
I'm planning a trip to Boston for the summer and wanted to go into NY for a day, I won't have access to a car, what are my options?

Answer 1 :
Train, plane, or bus. I would choose train.
Answer 2 :
Go for either the Amtrak or the Greyhound. Here are the links: www.amtrak.com www.greyhound.com
Answer 3 :
Going by train is quite nice, if you can't afford the airfare. Much less smelly and tiring than a bus. You are also up higher than a bus, and get a better view. Trains often go through more wooded (and more picturesque) areas.
Answer 4 :
definitely the train!
Answer 5 :
Train is the easiest. Once you're in Boston, hop on the Red line. Go to South Station. From there you can purchase a ticket to New York on the commuter rail. Probably takes about three to four hours to get there. You can also buy the ticket round trip if you choose to do so.
Answer 6 :
The express train is really quick and fairly comfortable.
Answer 7 :
Katie is right about the train, but wrong about which one!! The Commuter Rail does not go to New York! It is Amtrak.
Answer 8 :
I have done it by bus but I'd imagine the train is more comfortable but more expensive.
Answer 9 :
the absolute cheapest way to go is the Fung Wah bus - $15 each way - but the ride takes approximately 4 hours. http://www.fungwahbus.com Personally, I pay the extra cash to take the Acela Express by Amtrak. http://www.amtrak.com
Answer 10 :
I'll take the Greyhound bus or Fungwah bus. Everything (armtrack train, all buses) are located in South Station. So if you are in Boston, just take the red line to South Station.
Answer 11 :
You could try the train but by far the cheapest is the Chinatown train. It goes from Chinatown (Boston) to Chinatown (New York) for ten bucks.
Answer 12 :
There's a bus that goes from Chinatown in Boston to Chinatown in NYC direct and I hear it's WAY cheap. (Like $25 or so round trip.) Otherwise, I'd do the train. There are commuter flights from Logan to Laguardia, but if you don't have a car on either end, it might not work for you.
Answer 13 :
They offer low price shuttles
Answer 14 :
going by train is definatly the best way!!
