What is the cheapest way to travel from Boston to Los Angeles?
My friends and I are going to a concert out there in august and we are all a little short on cash. Not really concerned with time or comfort of trip as long as we get there so aside from riding our bikes what's the cheapest way to go?

Train or bus. Either way you are looking at over $200 per ticket. I don't know exactly what the cost of round trip is for either but that would be your best bet.

definately fly and use expedia.

ani is offering you guys a hitch. Otherwise, if the police stops you hitching, they might take you wrong direction. Five people fit in one car.

For $360 each you can fly on Jet Blue from Boston to Long Beach....... or there are some similarly priced multi-stops on some days in late August on Southwest out of Manchester into LAX...... It looks like Amtrak would actually be more - the Amtrak website seems to indicate it would cost around $400+ on the train.
